When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: Automattic Privacy Policy. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public.

If you upload images, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment, you may opt‑in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These cookies last for one year.

Login cookies last for two days, screen option cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", login persists for two weeks. Logout removes login cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. It expires after 1 day.

Articles may include embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves the same as if the visitor has visited that website. These sites may collect data, use cookies, and track your interaction.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Comments and metadata are retained indefinitely. Registered users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except username). Administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold. You can also request deletion of your data, except where we are obliged to keep it for legal or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
